With Huihui and Sufang. We parked in Youlgreave and walked down the hill to the river. It was very very hot. It was very very busy The designated swimming area was completely overrun. I say 'designated swimming area' as you're not supposed to swim anywhere else but no one was paying much attention. to that. I have never seen it more mobbed round here. Passing Alport - where we stopped for some ice cream - we headed west along Lathkill Dale which was no less crowded. We escaped by crossing the river and heading uphill to Meadow Place Grange. then south over fields. The two fields before Back Lane were full of cows. And the biggest bull you ever saw. Happily we were extremely brave. Then to Monsal Head for fish and chips. My last walk with Huihui and Sufang before they headed back to China, their Confucius Institute posting to Sheffield over now. I miss them.
