From Langsett Barn car park. The water was very low after a dry spell so I walked round the reservoir mostly following what I cannot really dignify by calling the 'beach'. This was an unpleasant walk which I do not recommend and will never do again.
WIth Valerie. From the lay-by northeast of Silverburn. Up to col between Turnhouse Hill and Carnethy Hill. (There is a path on the ground not on the map. Over Carnethy Hill to Scald Law. Down.
rWith Renée. From Longshaw Lodge down Padley Gorge to Grindleford, then along the river to Froggatt then up to below the edge and along under it till Renée found a way up. and up and along and down to the grouse Innn and back.
With Anna and Philip. We parked in a lay-by near the holiday village at Limefitt and climbed the Tongue climbing back down Ing Lane.
With Felicity. We started at Baslow and headed through woods to the Hunting Tower. After than we got a bit lost but managed to find a way back to the house which was all closed. We stopped for quiche. It was cold. I got shouted at for not being about to pronounce 强.
With Helen. From the car park in Timbersbrook we followed the Griotstone Trail over the Cloud and down the other side as far as the road just by Cloudwood End Farm. Then we followed roads Northwest then Northeast to just before the River Dane where we took a path off left took us to The Macclesfield Canal at Bridge 57. We followed the canal west then South as far as Bridge 72 then took Brookhouse Lane to Overedge then over fields home with a bit of a detour on this last bit where the field was flooded.
