From Low Bradfield you can get to High Bradfield up the road of by a footpath a bit to the west leading up to the church which is what I have always done. Today for a change I took the footpath a bit to the west that starts at some way marked steps at the western tip of Damflask Reservoir. On getting to High Bradfield round a corner to join a thing the OS map calls the Sheffield Country Walk up a tiny hill called Castle Hill where if there was once a castle bot much remains. It’s easy going along paths a farm tracks past various little settlements as far as the carpark on Long Lane by Loxley Edge. Back along Myers Lane then downhill past Loxley House to the B6077 near the reservoir which I followed back to Low Bradfied past the sailing club. I had not realized Sheffield, not a notably maritime place, had a sailing club but it does.
